CPhI Worldwide/ICSE 2016 in Barcelona …positive results

Subsequent to the CPhI Worldwide/ICSE 2016 in Barcelona, BioChem Technical CEO Dr. Jürgen Branke takes stock of events: “The footfall was high, we had great conversations, made a whole bunch of new contacts, and got concrete enquiries for projects. The trade show has reaffirmed itself as an important industry event for us.”

The BioChem trade show stand was buzzing with activity: Many BioChem clients accepted the invitation and took the opportunity of cementing relationships through personal conversations, sharing experiences, or launching concrete new projects right on the stand.
In addition, interest was surprisingly high for quite a few potential new clients, including foreign prospects, who were expressly interested in the extensive portfolio of the three divisions of physico-chemical analytics, molecular biology/bioanalytics and microbiology. Concrete project enquiries had quickly developed from the time of initial contact, which were subsequently pursued at the trade show.

Like every trade show, the CPhI Worldwide/ICSE has its own dynamic and every year new focal points crystallize from it. This also applies to the microcosm of the BioChem trade show stand, where this year the interest of visitors was concentrated on four main focal points: chromatography (first and foremost HPLC), ICP-MS and EU re-analytics, all areas in which BioChem enjoys an excellent reputation across the industry, which was reaffirmed at CPhI Worldwide/ICSE.

There was also great interest in the issues surrounding the ICH Q3D Guideline, on which BioChem staff answered a great variety of questions from visitors about the implementation and consequences of the tightening of the Guideline. “How do you support your clients in this area? What do the changes mean for us exactly?” “What do we need to look out for in the future?” Just like our visitors, these questions also affect you, the reader. If you still have unanswered questions on this issue, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Looking back on the trade show, what we particularly enjoyed was the positive feedback of all of the visitors who talked to us openly and with trust.
