New head of analytical department
We are pleased to announce today that as of October 4, 2018, we recruited
Dr. Hans-Joachim Holley
as new head of our analytical department.
With Dr. Holley we engaged a very skilled analyst with more than 20 years of experience in the international pharmaceutical industry. He worked for well-known companies in the fields of analytics, quality assurance and quality control and thus provides optimal conditions for the position as head of our analytical department

Identification of microorganisms: BioChem introduces mass spectrometry analysis by means of MALDI TOF
From June 1, 2018 BioChem Labor für biologische und chemische Analytik GmbH will offer mass spectrometric identification of microorganisms by means of MALDI TOF.
BioChem takes over GMP division* of nadicom – centre of excellence for the identification of microorganisms completed
On March 1, 2018 BioChem Labor für biologische und chemische Analytik GmbH acquired the GMP division* of nadicom Gesellschaft für angewandte Mikrobiologie mbH, both based in Karlsruhe and completed its centre of excellence for the identification of microorganisms. At the heart of this strategic acquisition of BioChem is the “tree by nadicom” database.

BioChem will again be represented at analytica, the important international trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology.
There we will introduce our enlarged “Center for identification of microorganisms” with state-of-the-art methods: beside classical morphological analysis from now on we will offer mass spectrometry analysis by MALDI TOF and molecular biological identification by means of the unique “tree by nadicom” database which BioChem took over. FDA inspection successfully completed
For the fourth time in a row FDA inspection accredits BioChem’s compliance with high quality standards
On November 6th and 7th 2017, a comprehensive GMP system inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was conducted at BioChem Labor für biologische und chemische Analytik GmbH.
