On Monday, February 26th 2024, the time had finally arrived. After a 4-month renovation phase, the completely modernized open-plan laboratory of the “Physical-Chemical Testing” department in the Analytics division was inaugurated in a festive ceremony.

Dr. Lysann Massmann, shareholder of the BioChem Group, cut the “red ribbon” in the presence of Oliver Hans Schwarz (CEO of the BioChem Group), Ruth Rosenthal (authorized representative of the shareholder), Dr. Jochen Kolb (Managing Director of BioChem Labor) and Dr. Jan Bonnet (Head of Analytics)!

Spanning a total of 110 m², the department now has a state-of-the-art laboratory including processing stations, modern energy-saving fume hoods, an acid scrubbing fume hood for working with hazardous acids such as hydrofluoric acid, as well as weighing and titration stations. This laboratory represents the latest standards not only in terms of technology and occupational safety and health, but also environmental protection. We now can provide double the laboratory capacity for our customers. This modernization is only part of a larger conversion, that also includes the construction of an open-plan office as well as further modernization projects. The entire conversion is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
